Description
EBISA (Equipment Base Isolation System Analysis) code evaluates the effectiveness of seismic isolation for the important components in the seismic safety, and consists of the following three codes. Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Code, SHEAT. Seismic Dynamic Response Analysis Code, RESP. Seismic Failure Probability and Frequency Evaluation code. In these Codes, the user's manual of SHEAT has already been published. This report describes the overall explanation of EBISA and the detailed contents of RESP code. RESP code is used for the calculation of the dynamic response behavior of a nuclear component with seismic isolation devices. Main functions of RESP code are the natural frequency analysis and dynamic response behavior analysis. The latter function calculates the responses of acceleration, displacement etc. by reflecting the characteristics of various isolation devices. RESP code has the characteristics of seismic isolation device performance and dynamic response behavior which obtained from the following two tests. One is the vibration table of 3-D component base isolation system using multi-layer rubber bearing and coil springs. Another is the seismic natural motion test of 3-D component base isolation system using ball bearing and air springs. (author)
