Fundamentals, implementation and clinical application of dual-energy CT
- 1. Uniklinik Koeln (Germany). Inst. fuer Diagnostische und Interventionelle Radiologie
Description
The new computerized tomography scanners provide separate attenuation measurement of high- and low-energy X-ray quanta allowing many other reconstruction calculations besides the calculation of conventional images. Virtual mono-energetic images, iodine mapping, virtual native images etc. are increasingly of interest in all domains of CT diagnostics.
