Investigation of heating and compression of high-aspect shell-type targets at the Delphin-1 device
Description
To investigate compression and heating of shell-type targets with high aspect ratios under the effect of six neodymium laser light beams with power density making up 0.5-2x1014 W/cm2 a wide spectrum of diagnostic equipment is used. Compression rates for targets with different aspect ratios are measured, effect of irradiation inhomogeneity on the achievable compression degree is evaluated, neutron yield at 106-107 neutron level for glass target cylinder filled with gaseous deuterium is recorded
