Study of an electrocyclone working up to 600 0C

Description

An electrocyclone is studied and spectral efficiency is determined for a particle size range from 0.3 micron to 10 microns in function of gas temperature and speed. Possible applications include prefiltration of gaseous effluents from the dismantling of nuclear facilities or radioactive waste incinerators. 18 refs

Abstract (French)

Cet article presente les resultats de l'etude d'un electrocyclone au cours de laquelle l'efficacite spectrale a ete determinee sur un domaine granulometrique compris entre 0,3 μm et 10 μm en fonction de la temperature des gaz et de la vitesse d'entree du cyclone. On suggere l'application a la prefiltration des effluents gazeux issus des chantiers de demantelement d'installations nucleaires ou le traitement des rejets gazeux sur un incinerateur de dechets radioactifs
