How does an electrified drop disintegrate?

  • 1. CEA, 38 - Grenoble (France). Dir. des Sciences de la Matiere
  • 2. Copenhague Universite (Denmark)

Description

The question of the stability of a charged drop opens a field of research extremely rich. The behaviour of a droplet is similar to this one of an atomic nucleus. New experiments on disintegration of a particular type of droplets, the metallic aggregates show the limits. (N.C.)
