Radioisotope studies of burden movement in shaft furnace process of zinc and lead smelting

Description

Results of radioisotope investigations of lead and zink agglomerate movement in a zink and lead smelting furnace are presented. The tracer was introduced by reactor activation of burden materials. Material dwelling times in the furnace, and zink distribution with three different burden charging systems have been determined
