The use of water glycol mixtures in bubblers for trapping tritiated water vapor

Description
It is shown that for a sampling rate of 1.5 liters per minute, a height of 7 cm of liquid, and a weight of 100 grams, the vapor pressure of the air leaving the bubbler is equal to the theoretical saturation vapor pressure of the solution. The variation in the weight of water, the relative humidity of the air leaving the bubbler, and the apparent trapping efficiency for the tritiated water vapor, were calculated as a function of time for various water glycol mixtures at temperatures between 0 deg. and 30 deg. C, and relative atmospheric humidities between 30 and 100 per cent. (authors)

Il est montre que pour un debit de prelevement de 1,5 l/mn, une hauteur de liquide de 7 cm et un poids de 100 g, la tension de vapeur de l'air sortant d'un barboteur est egale a la tension de vapeur saturante theorique de la solution. La variation du poids d'eau, de l'humidite relative de l'air sortant du barboteur et du rendement apparent de piegeage de la vapeur d'eau tritiee ont ete calcules en fonction du temps pour divers melanges d'eau et de glycol, a des temperatures comprises entre 0 et 30 deg. C et des humidites relatives de l'atmosphere variant de 30 a 100 pour cent. (auteurs)Files
