Design and application of rotary machine axial load test device

Description
Axial load capacity of rotating machinery is a key parameter of axial system, which plays an important role in the vibration characteristics and stability of the rotor. Reasonable axial load capacity can ensure long-term maintenance-free operation of special equipment under low wear and low power consumption conditions. For axial load test, the friction force or transverse stiffness between the small shaft and the shaft socket is usually used to introduce the axial load into the vibration equation of the rotor system for theoretical calculation. It is difficult to achieve a comprehensive analysis of the relevant impact by theoretical calculation method. In order to solve the above problems, this paper designs a kind of device of axial load measurement on the 3 # machine damper by using eddy current sensor and strain sensor. It solves problems including the small device space, multi-measuring points, sealing of the measurement; it analyzed the influence factors of the difference in accuracy of the sensor in vacuum and temperature mutation. The test results is applied successfully to the No. 3 machine, it provides testing data for No. 3 machine axial load analysis and axial life span. (authors)
