Magnetism of finite-n Kondo-lattice films

Description
We investigate the magnetic properties of thin ferromagnetic Kondo-lattice model films. The presence of mobile charge carriers leads to a coupling of the localized magnetic moments (e.g., in Gd). Within a self-consistent approximation scheme, the critical temperature is determined. It exhibits two regimes: an RKKY-like in the weak-coupling region and a strong-coupling double exchange regime
