The study of detail structure of radical tracks in methanol irradiated at 77 deg K by ionizing particles with high linear energy losses

Description

Investigation of local concentrations of radicals appearing in the process of methanol irradiation with the 10B(n,α), 7Li, 6Li(n,α)T products has been carried out. Local concentrations of radicals having ions and electrons as their predecessors are investigated separately. Application of radiators with high linear energy losses does not result in significant change of the dimensions of positive and negative parts of the track. Only local concentration of radicals, having positive ions as their predecessors increases significantly and becomes equal to the highest reachable concentration in the given substance under stationary irradiation. The data discussion is based upon calculated dependencies between transit length and energies both of fast and slow electrons
