Energy spectrum of secondary charged particles from AI, Cu and W bombarded with 2 GeV electrons

Description
Energy spectrum of secondary charged particles from Al, Cu and W plate bombarded with 2 GeV electrons were measured at the injection Linac in Pohang Light Source, POSTECH. The detector was a counter telescope consisted of two .ΔE NE102 scintillators and one E Pilot-U scintillator to eliminate neutron and γ events by using three detector coincidence, identify particles by ΔE-E method and determine particle energy by time-of-flight (TOF) method. Signals from these scintillators were processed to TOFs and pulse heights by using a current time of flight (CTOF) method since the experimental condition allowed the incidence of more than one particle per one electron beam bunch. The energy spectrum of protons and deuterons for each samples were obtained from 50 MeV to 300 MeV and from 60 MeV to 250 MeV, respectively
