Mossbauer analysis of iron compounds formed at Hazelwood Power Station

Description
The types of iron-containing oxides produced at the Hazelwood Power Station, with particular emphasis on the build-up on the heat exchangers, have been investigated. 57Fe Mossbauer spectroscopy was used to identify the Fe-containing phases present in the ash, slag and oxide deposit. Mossbauer spectra of the ash and slag were taken at 77K, 300K, 410K and 540K
