VAC nonlinearity in YBa2Cu3O7-x high-Tc superconductor defined by the modulation technique

Description

VAC nonlinearity is investigated in the samples of ceramics and YBa2Cu3O7-x HTSC. The investigations were performed using 4-contact modulation technique in the temperature range (T) close to the temperature of superconducting transition Tc-T < or ≅ Tc. The application of this modulation technique, which is very sensitive to the shape of U(J) curve of voltage harmonic-current dependence, shows that the power law is valid only for very small points. Therefore, literature references to the varieties of Kosterlitz - Taules model for explanation of YBa2Cu3O7-x VAC nonlinearity in high currents are doubtful. In conclusion it is noted that explanation of nonpower pattern of U(J) requires a new approach to the problem of phase transitions in granulated and inhomogeneous HTSC systems
