Description
Radioactive aerosols are generated during the operation of nuclear/radiological facilities and designed engineering features in these facilities confine and remove these aerosols in the workplace environments. However, during any off-normal scenario, aerosols may reach the breathing zone of occupational workers. Hence, Continuous Air Monitors (CAM) that detects the radioactive aerosols are placed in these facilities to alarm the workers. Optimized placement of these CAMs is highly critical in order to trigger the early warning from these instruments and thus ensuring radiological safety of the working personnel
