Phenomenological descriptions of yrast band up to spin=24 for 166Hf and 166Yb nuclei
Description
By using broken polynomial expression in terms of the angular momentum, the yrast band of the chosen nuclei is calculated up to Iπ=24+. The polynomial has two parameters. The predicted energy includes the interaction region between the g-band and s-band. In the same time the calculations are carried out by using variable moment of inertia model with two sets of parameters. The results of both models are compared with the experimental data.
