Description
Computer code based on Monto-Carlo method is developed to solvex the problems on optimization of probe geometry and to study general physical conditions of X-ray fluorescence logging. The program is intended for the calculation of physical spectra of X-ray fluorescence logging, i.e. the spectra, recorded with an ideal detector. The conditions for optimization of X-ray fluorescence logging geometry (probe devices) are formulated. Practical estimation of optimum geometry for the probe of X-ray fluorescence logging using proportional counter is made. The results obtained are in good agreement with the experimental ones
