Beam profile monitor

Description

The paper describes a beam profile monitor for a remote observation of a position and shape of accelerated particle beam. Horizontal and vertical intensity profiles are displayed simultaneously on a single track oscilloscope. The beam profile information is obtained with minimum screening of the ion beam and with practically instantaneous readout. The system has been used for beams of a total intensity not less than 10 nA. (author)
