Synthesis of K-Zr-phosphates by the molten salt method
- 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Moscow (Russian Federation)
Description
A new method for the preparation of double potassium zirconium phosphates is proposed using a specific nonaqueous medium-molten potassium nitrate in the temperature range of 573-823 K. The molar ratio of components in the initial mixture and the preparation temperature have been optimized. The crystalline compounds obtained - KZr2(PO4)3 and K2Zr(PO4)2 were characterized by X-ray diffraction, IR, 1H and 31P NMR spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. 19 refs.; 3 figs.; 2 tabs
