Analog of a magnetic resonance in neutron diffraction in crystals

Description
The spin-orbit scattering of neutrons by crystal nuclei is analyzed for the case of dynamic diffraction in a static external magnetic field. The spin-orbit scattering leads to spin flip in the magnetic field in this case. When the energy of the Zeeman splitting is equal to the nuclear potential for interband scattering, the spin flip is of a resonant nature. Some numerical estimates of the expected effect are derived
