Dosimeter response equation and the displacement correction factor for (n + γ) dosimetry
Description
The dose-response equation for a dosimeter in a mixed n + γ field is re-examined and modified to include displacement correction factors for the neutrons and gamma rays. It is important for generality to refer the absorbed dose to an equilibrium sphere of muscle tissue, rather than to the dosimeter sensitive volume itself. 13 refs., 2 figs
