Partial licences for nuclear installations

The approval of the outline design concept underlying a first partial licence for a nuclear installation is confirmed and consolidated by subsequent partial licences within their scope of licensing, incorporating each time the licensing criteria according to the state of the art in science and technology. This 'consolidation' does not have an effect for third parties, who brought an action against the first partial licence based on objections against the outline design approval. The first partial licence (amended) is to replace the first partial licence (cancelled), which was issued on 9 January 1975 and has been cancelled by a decision of the Federal Administrative Court of 9 October, 1988, - 7 C 3.86 -.
