Description

A superconducting 4334 phase material, with Tce as high as 105K, has been synthesized in Pb-doped BiCaSrCuO system. The x-ray powder diffraction patterns and electron diffraction indicate it is a single phase material just like the unleaded system, but the ac magnetic susceptibility shows that the sample includes two superconducting phases with Tc being 105K and 65K, respectively. The optimization of the composition and preparing condition, the effect of oxygen and the reasons of causing the identical crystalline structure and different superconductivity for both Pb-doping and unleaded system are investigated and discussed
