Commercial use of university accelerators: Industrial perspectives
Description
Revenue from unused medical cyclotron time offers an incentive for university collaboration with private industry. Conversely, private industry use of existing cyclotron capacity allows regional radionuclide production and distribution without prohibitive capital investment and liability. The collaboration, although it involves compromises which challenge both parties, should be mutually beneficial. (orig.)
