Description
The Palaearctic and Neoarctic regions together form the Holarctic zoogeographical realm. Palaearctic regions occupies Europe, northern Africa and areas other then tropical Asia. Its boundaries are subject to different opinion. Two of five subregions, Euro-Siberian (with all of its four provinces) and Mediterranean (West Mediterranean and East Mediterranean provinces) stretch to the territory of Europe. Provinces (except for the oreal provinces) are presented in the Euro-Siberian and Mediterranean subregions, while the division into provinces is not specified in the rest of the subregions (Middle Asian and east Palaearctic).
