Sectoral structure of interplanetary magnetic fields and the energetic particles in interplanetary space
Description
Intensity and anisotropy changes in 1 - 4.5 MeV protons and 40 - 500 keV electrons occurring near the sector boundary are considered. The changes observed are: sharp decrease of particle intensity, this change being different for particles propagating in different directions, and considerable anisotropy variations even toward negative values. The mean lifetime of such anisotropy is about 8. The sector boundary separates, as a rule, the space regions characterized by different particle diffusion coefficients
