Description
The investigation technique of the strains and displacements kine-- tics during the welded joints tests according to the method of insertion pieces (''implants'') of material resistance to delayed fracture is described. Two lots of specimens made of 12GN2MFAU and 25KhN3MFA steels have been tested during the technique development. The technique permits to analyze two factors of delayed fracture, namely: load (level of residual stresses) and kinetics of strain and displacement development. The data obtained show that the delayed fracture process is predetermined by intensity of strains development during their stable growth, when initiation and growth of intergrain microcracks occurs alongside with plastic strains
