Effective technology of fabricating KDP, DKDP crystals to be used in high-energy lasers

  • 1. Russian Academy of Sciences, Nizhny Novgorod (Russian Federation). Inst. of Applied Physics

Description

The problem of creating high effective technology to fabricate crystal elements for high-energy laser systems is observed. The authors developed the principal technology, which permits the growth of crystal blanks with given shape, dimensions and orientation. The growth rates exceed the conventional ones by more than 10 times. The (101) orientation KDP crystal with dimensions 380 x 450 x 50 mm has been obtained. The possibility of use of ''skewed'' elements is considered
