Circular polarization of γ-quanta in radiative leptonic and quark decays of W boson with electromagnetic moments
Description
Differential probability of the W-→l-ν-barlγ and W-→dnu-barγ decays has been calculated taking simultaneously into account an arbitrary magnetic dipole moment μW=(1+κW+λW)e/2mW and the electric quadrupole moment QW=-(κW-λW)e/mW2 of the W boson and the circular polarization of the emitted photons. The angular and energy distributions of the produced photons and charged fermions are written in an analytic form. The angular and energy dependence of the degree of circular polarization Pλ of the photons from the W-→l-ν-barlγ decay has been studied at the following values of the W-boson electromagnetic moments parameters: κW=1, λW=0 (standard theory of electroweak interaction) and κW ≠1, λW ≠0. Pγ is shown to be significantly sensitive to variation of the parameters κW and λW in the WWγ vertex at large values of the opening angle of photon and lepton
