Recent advances in very high resolution crystal gamma-ray spectroscopy
- 1. Institut Max von Laue - Paul Langevin (ILL), 38 - Grenoble (France)
Description
The ultra high resolution obtained with modern crystal spectrometers widens the field of possible applications in (n,γ) spectroscopy. Newly developed experimental techniques are discussed. In particular it is shown in some examples how the measurement of gamma ray induced Doppler broadening can be used as a new tool in nuclear structures studies. (author)
