On a possibility of measurement of the Weinberg angle in the pair conversion of the 2s1/2 → 1s1/2 transition in μ- mesoatoms

A possibility is studied on the evaluation of the electro-weak parameter sin2ΘW (ΘW is the Weinberg angle) from the P-odd correlations in electron and positron spectra of the pair conversion from the 2s1/2 → 1s1/2 transition in μ- mesoatoms in the range of 24 ≤ Z ≤ 42 (Z is the nuclear charge). Scale estimates are presented for intensities of accompanying background processes, which impede a reliable theoretical interpretation of the P-odd effects. It is shown that an experiment of measurement of sin2ΘW with an accuracy of a few percent in the pair conversion process is possible only if a small interval of the positron energies near the hard limit of the spectrum is exploited
