Luminescence of hexavalent uranium in the fergusonite structure
Description
The luminescence of U(VI)-doped LaNbO4 and YTaO4 (M and M' modification) is reported. The emission is situated in the red spectral region. The results are discussed in relation to the positive effective charge and the oxygen coordination of the U(VI) ion. The emission spectra of the M and M' modifications of YTaO4 are clearly different
