Application of prepared thiocyanate ion-selective electrode to the determination of thiocyanate ions in industrial waste water
- 1. Institute of Chemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, St. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje (Macedonia, The Former Yugoslav Republic of)
Description
The thiocyanate content in industrial waste water was determined by different techniques of direct potentiometry. The thiocyanate ion-selective electrode prepared in our Institute of Chemistry was applied in these measurements. The spectrophotometric method with Fe(III) reagent was applied as a comparative method. The results obtained were statistically treated and it was found that the relative standard deviation for these determinations (concentration range cca 80 mg/dm3) was 1.26 - 4.35 %.
