In this chapter author deals with the most important problems of the environment. Formation of ozone holes, carbon dioxide, greenhouse gases and greenhouse effect, sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides and their role in acidification of the environment, pollution of waters and soils, human nutrition, desertification as well as extinct species are discussed.
