Description
This paper reports on operator supporting system for abnormal condition in experimental fast reactor JOYO. The development of a computerized operator supporting system called JOYCAT (JOYO Consulting ampersand Analyzing Tool) was started in 1984 to support the plant operators; decisions and actions in abnormal situations. JOYCAT has been progressively expanding the knowledge base improving the ability of the diagnosis function. a verification test was performed in March 1987 using an operator training simulator located at the JOYO site. As a result, the practicality of this system was confirmed. Subsequently the JOYCAT display was installed in the JOYO central control room, and its on line operation was started y partially linking it to the actual plant in May 1988. The full scope operation of this system will start in September 1990
