Penetration of a rotating magnetic field for current drive in a field reversed configuration

Description

The synchronous field penetration of a rotating magnetic field is theoretically studied to apply to a field reversed configuration for sustaining a current. The effects of the radial particle flows and the fueling are included in the study. The simple analytical expression is given to estimate the minimum rotating magnetic field for the field penetration. (author)
