Description
The objective of this work was further development and implementation of the 'single rod' method for possible testing of irradiated fuel elements. This paper deals with theoretical analysis of burnup dependence of the thermal absorption γ and multiplication ηH factors. It includes detailed analysis of the variation of the mentioned parameters due to different neutron spectra, D2O degradation, inhomogeneity of the fuel element, etc. The analysis is applied for the available irradiated fuel of the RA reactor (2% enriched)
