Modular fusion power apparatus using disposable core

Description

This patent describes a fusion power generating means for generating thermal energy from fusion reactions in an ionized plasma of fusible fuel. It comprises: a fusion core unit; disconnectable means; a power supply; toroidal field coils; blanket means; toroidal field coils and plasma cavity have no blanket means; means for connecting and disconnecting each of the disconnectable means; blanket cooling fluid transport means; and means, connected to at least one of the blanket cooling fluid transport means and the toroidal field cooling fluid transport means, for extracting thermal energy therefrom
