Resonating group calculations in nuclear few cluster systems

Description
Several theoretical techniques, applicable to scattering systems, are presented and connexions between a recent algebraic approach and a variational ansatz are demonstrated. The results of these techniques are compared with experimental data. It is shown that diverse cluster decompositions have to be taken into account in order to reproduce the data. (orig.)
