Description
Recently, two analyzer dipole magnets with 90 degree bending and radii of 200 mm and 300 mm have been designed, developed and characterized for BARC. The maximum operating field of these magnets is 0.8 Tesla and requires ± 5 degree rotation at the exit side of magnet poles in the horizontal plane. The technical challenge involved in development of these magnets is to satisfy the integrated field uniformity within 0.02% in the good field region. The details of the magnet design, development and the magnetic measurement results will be discussed in this paper. (author)
