When an equipment, especially a nuclear safety equipment, it can cause nuclear safety-incidents or lead to nuclear safety accidents directly. Preventing and eliminating faults is an important way to improve the safety of the nuclear power plant. In order to ensure the safety and reliability of the equipment, starting from the idea of whole life cycle fault supervision and management, a phased supervision and management for equipment faults is put forward in accordance with the state of equipment from design to decommissioning stage. According to the characteristics of whole life cycle development of nuclear power equipment performance and condition, and the statistical laws of nuclear power equipment faults, the main factors, key links and key points of fault supervision and management in all stages of nuclear power equipment whole life cycle are researched. In order to prevent equipment failure and accurately monitor and manage equipment, a supervision and management method for nuclear power equipment faults based on state analysis is proposed. The development of equipment performance is forecasted by analyzing the status of equipment. On this basis, taking corresponding measures can improve the pertinence, initiative and accuracy of equipment management, and make the gateway of nuclear safety supervision and management move forward.
