Differential characteristics of the Na excited atom emission under NaCl surface bombardment by K+

Description
Efficiency of the chemical mechanism of excitation of Na atoms, sputtered from polycrystalline NaCl surface under K+ bombardment, is elucidated. Temperature dependences of the Na1 589 nm resonant line intensity of secondary excited Na atoms and the velocity distribution of the atoms are measured
