A positron annihilation study of neutron irradiated titanium
- 1. Tohoku Univ., Oarai, Ibaraki (Japan). Oarai Branch of Research Inst. for Iron, Steel and Other Metals
Description
Defects in titanium irradiated with fast neutrons have been studied by measuring lifetime and angular correlation of positron annihilation. Vacancy clusters or microvoids are formed in the specimens irradiated at 80 - 1000C with the neutron doses of 1019 -1020 cm-2. The formation and dissociation of vacancy clusters or microvoids are sensitive to impurity content in the speciments. (author)
