Description
This educational resource looks at energy conversions, the issue of energy efficiency, and the possibilities and limits of conversions. The notions of instantaneous efficiency and cycle efficiency are formalized, then that of life-cycle efficiency is introduced, including notions of sustainability; conversion management and the right sizing of converters and uses are addressed, with a few examples developed (lighting, buildings, transport, etc.).
