Non-leptonic B decays: tests of factorization, measurements of polarizations, strong phases, and final state interactions

Description

Various factorization approaches can be challenged by measurements on a variety of quantities such as branching fractions, CP asymetries, strong phases and polarization fractions. This is of crucial importance to better understand hadronic B decays, in particular in unveiling the role of final state interactions. Some recent BaBar measurements concerning charm and charmless decays are presented here, mostly on 211fb-1, and provide valuable information on factorization, its origin and breakdown
