Definition of the nucleon--nucleus optical potential by means of the Low equation
Creators
Description
The Low equation, generalized to the case of an energy-dependent potential, is used to define a nucleon-nucleus optical potential. Although this approach is completely equivalent to previous definitions of the optical potential for nucleon-nucleus scattering, it should be easier to adapt this treatment to relativistic, field-theoretic problems.
