Description
It is going to be necessary to estimate the effective dose equivalent recommended by the ICRP. To estimate the effective dose equivalent for internal exposure, it is necessary to monitor the location and concentration of inhaled radioactive nuclides. In this report, an application of the emission-CT method was discussed and the major results were obtained as follows; 1. The gamma-camera technique may be applicable to the location system of inner body radio-substances which will be inhaled in nuclear power plant. 2. To know the utility of this technique, the sensitivity for location was examined using a monitoring system of gamma-ray surveylance equipment, it become clear to improve the collimator size and shielding material thickness. 3. The three-dimensional location system of inner body burden was discussed and the necessary conditions were decided to monitor the radioactivity concentration in high resolution and in high sensitivity.
