Device for protecting a structure against significant horizontal dynamic stresses
Description
The invention refers to a device for protecting a structure against significant horizontal dynamic stresses. It applies to the protection of buildings against earthquakes (in particlar those of nuclear power stations or storage facilities of dangerous or explosive materials). This system includes a set of friction bearers composed of mutual bearer pads respectively belonging to the structure and the foundation ground, provision being made to allow the relative movement with friction of the associated pads according to their mutual bearing area. The static and dynamic friction coefficients of the surfaces in contact are situated between a minimal figure, compatible with the permissible movements and a maximal figure compatible with the inherent strength threshold of this structure

L'invention concerne un dispositif de protection d'une construction contre les effets de sollicitations dynamiques horizontales importantes. Elle s'applique a la protection des batiments contre les secousses sismiques, (en particulier ceux des centrales nucleaires, ou des installations de stockage et traitement de matieres dangereuses ou explosives). Le dispositif comprend un ensemble d'appuis a friction constitues par des plots en appui mutuel appartenant respectivement a la construction et au sol de fondation, des moyens etant prevus pour permettre le deplacement relatif avec friction des plots associes suivant leur surface d'appui mutuel. Les coefficients de frottement statique et dynamique des surfaces en contact sont compris entre une valeur minimale, compatible avec les deplacements admissibles pour la construction en fonction de ses liaisons, et une valeur maximale compatible avec le seuil de resistance propre de cette constructionAdditional details
