Description
In the present study concentration of uranium and associated water quality parameter is analyzed from different areas of Bastar district in Chhattisgarh. Uranium is naturally occurring in rock, soil and water. It comes into the environment through both anthropogenic and Geogenic activity. In present study 98 ground water samples were collected during pre and post monsoon and analyzed for uranium and other associated water quality parameters from different areas of Bastar district, Chhattisgarh India in respective pre and post monsoon season. Here LED fluorimetric technique was used to evaluate the Uranium concentration in different water samples. The uranium contain was found in all water samples in Bastar Zone in the range from 0.27 ppb to 17.7 ppb in pre monsoon and 0.2 ppb to 16.6 ppb in post monsoon season and all the samples found under the permissible limit of 60 μg/l stipulated by AERB, Department of Atomic Energy India.
