System analysis for the 300 MW nuclear power plant design database

Description
The structure of the 300 MW nuclear power station design database system which has been developed by Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute is discussed. The system consists of an IBM RS/6000 workstation running ORACLE 7.0 as the server networked through a TCP/IP Ethernet with a number of PCs. The application software for the database system at both the server and the clients features of good data integrity, reliability, network transparency and of friendly user interface by using stored procedures, triggers and some other new database technology
