Substantiation of advanced boiling water reactor fuel elements by thermohydraulic measurements
Description
Since thermohydraulic questions related to new BWR fuel element concepts analytically can be answered only with certain uncertainties, empirical substantiation by 1 : 1 test set-ups is the state of the art. The experiments to be performed, which cover all conceivable operating conditions, are very expensive and require a complex technology. The experimental equipment developed by Siemens for this purpose and its application are demonstrated, giving as an example the development of the fuel element type ATRIUM 10 x 10-9Q. (orig./DG)

Da thermohydraulische Fragen zu neuen SWR-Brennelement-Konzepten analytisch nur mit gewissen Unsicherheiten zu beantworten sind, ist eine empirische Absicherung in 1:1-Versuchsanordnungen Stand der Technik. Die durchzufuehrenden Versuche, die alle denkbaren Betriebsbedingungen abdecken, sind sehr aufwendig und erfordern eine komplexe Technik. Die bei Siemens dazu entwickelte Versuchstechnik und ihre Anwendungen werden am Brennelement-typs ATRIUM 10 x 10-9Q dargestellt. (orig./DG)Additional details
